The Meek comic main site

The three main characters from my comic 'The Meek.' I am completely obsessed with this project but don't usually have time to do finished art. So heres a worked up pencil sketch...

Top to bottom:
Soli, a wronged woman trying to get some moneys and some some revenge, in no particular order.
Luca, the unstable dictator of the Northern countries.
Angora, a innocent and uncivilized girl from the jungle.
The three, with their respective powers and benefactors, are trying to gain control of/ decide the fate of the human race. Real big scope for a stupid comic, I know.

Summaries are boring, you can read the rough comics so far at [link] in case you missed that the billions of other times I've linked to it XD Or if you're more patient I'll have some DA-worthy comics up some point in the future.

Angora looks ready to try and avoid a fight. Luca looks ready to make someone regret fighting him. Soli looks a LOT less capable of injuring opponents than she is. They work well together. I'll not get into their interactions in the future. Poorly thought-out epileptic trees and all that.

Soli's a girl? I really enjoy your comic, but I DESPERATELY wish you would add some more gender-identification traits to your characters. This isn't the first time I've been confused, and if it's happened to me more than once it's definitely happened to others. I genuinely feel this is hurting your work. It may be worth making a simple poll to see how many people have been confused about character genders before. Not all of us have read the Wiki or seen your Deviantart, so we only have what visual/dialog clues you drop in the comic to go off of.

She's actually supposed to look androgynous (it is related to the plot), so it would defeat the purpose of her design for me to draw her to be very feminine. If you notice a few pages back, the old dude character also mistakes her for being male. The folks from the region she was born tend to look like that, the only other character that I've drawn to be overtly androgynous was one of the ambassadors.

Other than Soli/ Alamand/ Ambassador, was there any other character that you found hard to identify? I think they should all be pretty straightforward otherwise. Hopefully that helps/ makes sense!

Okay... Luca is the greatest character I've ever seen in any comic. Ever.

Really. I can't express how much I feel for that that guy; Chapter 2 is so very very tragic.
He's definitely the most emotional of the characters we've seen so far - be that anger, sadness... even regret; and you've captured it all so perfectly that he feels so much more real than anything I've ever seen before in a comic.

I can't compliment you enough - I really am amazed.

Oh man, it's so hard to wait for the story to unfold! I know it'll be great (It already is). I think it's safe to say The Meek is my favourite webcomic, and I really like how you are a fellow 'A:TLA'-fan. ^^
